MAKSTIL AD is an electric
steel based steelworks in which handling of the process starts from
preparation of scrap and other charging materials for production of
liquid steel and casting of slabs up to production of plates
Within 2000 the Quality System of MAKSTIL AD was registered according to
ISO STANDARDS 9001. Aiming at reaching higher quality standards some
modifications and improvement of the entire technological line have been
performing by introducing IT system
The two main phases of MAKSTIL AD plants are:
Steel Making Plant
with an electric arc
furnace
for production of liquid steel and three Continuous Casting
machine lines to transform liquid steel into slabs
Quarto
Plate Mill
for rolling the
slabs into hot rolled plates
Finishing line with facilities for shotblasting and priming of
plates
