The Steel Shop consists of an electric arc furnace (EAF) to produce liquid steel, ladle furnace for secondary refining and three continuous casting machine lines to transform liquid steel into slabs.

The process begins from preparation of scrap and other charging materials, then the scrap metal is melted and refined using electrical and chemical energy, and finally process is completed by casting of slabs. The Steel Shop has annual installed capacity of 550,000 mt, and produces slabs with following dimensions: thickness 150-300 mm, width 900-1’550 mm and 4’800 mm and 12’000 mm. Maximum weight of slab is 30 tonnes.
